Glutathione is the body’s most abundant antioxidant, produced in the liver and depleted by age, illness, and physical stress. Titan offers it by injection, dosed by your provider. Glutathione can be depleted rather quickly if a person is sick, has been working out hard, drinking or smoking which can lead to more illness. Milk thistle acts in a similar fashion to detoxify other synthetic chemicals that find their way into our bodies, from acetaminophen and alcohol to heavy metals and radiation. Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a botanical whose principal constituent group, the silymarin flavonolignans, has been the subject of longstanding scientific interest. Titan’s preparation is made from pure dried natural herbs and is not standardized to a fixed silymarin content. Milk thistle is offered as a nutritional supplement. It is not a drug, is not FDA-approved for any medical condition, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
The active ingredient, or liver-protecting compound in milk thistle is known as silymarin. This substance, which actually consists of a group of compounds called flavonolignands. By changing the outside layer of liver cells, it also prevents certain toxins from getting inside. Antioxidants are thought to protect body cells from damage caused by a chemical process called oxidation. Our Milk Thistle is not standardized to an exact amount (as it is made from pure dried natural herbs. Milk Thistle naturally contains about 70 – 80% Silymarin (and many other constituents thought to work in harmony).
